Summer is the beach, the water, & the sun. The feeling of the sun's lava hot rays warming my skin and the sleepy sound of waves crashing recklessly against the shore, that is my idea of summertime paradise. So there was no question as to whether or not we would be going when my husband's family decided on Charleston, South Carolina as our vacation spot this year. My bags were packed and I was ready to get to the beach and bask in the sunshine. I fell in love with that city right away. The history, the beauty, the water- what's not to love?
On a day like today, as I prepare to enter a world of cubicles, computer screens, and florescent light bulbs, I am convinced I was born to be a marine biologist, swimming in the waters off the coast of the Isle of Palms. Alright, so I am not a science whiz. A girl can dream can't she? Here's to Charleston and its beauty that beckons my day-dreaming heart!
