Unsere Deutschen Freunde

Our German Friend is meeting us today in Tennessee on his way to Atlanta.
Blake and Thomas met in Germany four years ago, when Blake was working alongside missionaries there, proclaiming the hope we have in Christ. Though I have never met Thomas, I feel like we've met already through my husband's stories and memories.

So today I am excited to hear Blake speaking a little German to an actual German. I know he has listened to me speaking Thai to the Thai restaurant workers who look at me as if to say, "Khun ba Falang kah!" or "You crazy foreigner!"

Blake, the socially wonderful and entertaining man, will have a blast reconnecting with this German friend today. This short trip is also allowing us one quick dinner with his parents and then a late night drive back home to prepare for work on Friday and a visit from my parents. So on with the show!  Let's get this extraordinary day started!  I am curious to know what your plans are today, so post a comment and keep me updated on your life! So long for now my friends!

  1. How exciting! No plans here today. The only German I know is from a German song my HS choir sang and the word "vertig" (sp?) because our college roommate used to say it to us constantly before we would go out. :)
