When Apples and Cinnamon Attack

You can't truly understand the beautiful transformation that takes place in your heart and on your taste buds until you experience the wonder that is Cinnamon Apples. No, not from a can of jellied pie filling. These apples are the ones that were sitting on your counter or in your refrigerator days after you thought you should have just tossed them in the trash. You know the kind? These apples are pretty on the outside but you know that they have long since lost their luster and crisp crunchy freshness. Wait!! Before you throw them into the garbage pail or compost pile, give these little jewels one last shot at fame.

Slice them up. Throw them in a pan and make them uh bake just as fast as you can. I performed just such a feat two nights ago and have enjoyed my reward. I sliced four apples up quickly, threw them into a pan of butter, and literally poured cinnamon sugar all over them. Into the oven they flew and within forty-five minutes deliciously soft and juicy apples appeared before my very eyes.

Cinnamon apples saved my day yesterday and made my night tonight. The possibilities are endless. Cinnamon Apples with Vanilla Ice Cream for dessert, Oatmeal with Cinnamon Apples & Raisins for breakfast yesterday, and Sourdough Toast with Cream Cheese and Cinnamon Apples for breakfast today.

Delicious as these were, I think i just scratched the surface of apple goodness. Let your taste buds experience the party that is cinnamon apples before the doldrums of winter steal away all of your joy and hide it under a bushel. No! You let those cinnamon apples shine! Let em shine, Let em shine, Let em shine.

Eat it up!

So my cap came in handy and feels much like a thinking cap to me tonight. Hats are my friend on these cold nights! Enjoy your apples and hats and good night all.
