We're Going to a Luau

Tonight we are going to our first ever luau as a couple. Some friends invited us to the shindig to celebrate a recent graduation from a master's program. Congrats Ginny! I am betting on there being a lot of fun in the sun and... are you ready for this one? Karaoke! I love to sing but I so easily embarrass myself in large and small groups of people a like. I want to run and hide from the impending shame but I know that my social rock star of a husband will pry me out of my shy little shell and onto the stage. Deep muddy ruts will appear in the yard from my resistant heels dragging the grass. And then it will happen. My heart will pound. My knees will grow weak. And I will die of embarrassment right there in front of our friends and complete strangers. My obituary will read: Jennifer. Keeled over while attempting to sing, "Help! I Need Somebody!". Oh gracious! Help me! I need your undying devotion  and support! Until we meet again...Aloha.
